Barangay Liptong

Situated in Bacong, Negros Oriental, Barangay Liptong is one of 22 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Liptong had a population of 1,185. This made it the 13th largest of 22 barangays in Bacong by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Liptong accounted for approximately 2.88% of the total population of Bacong, which stood at 41,207 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Liptong moving from 852 residents to 1,185 residents, an intercensal change of +39.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Liptong as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
