Barangay Cabayogan

Barangay Cabayogan is a small barangay in the municipality of Badiangan, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cabayogan had a population of 892. This made it the 15th largest of 31 barangays in Badiangan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cabayogan accounted for approximately 3.30% of the total population of Badiangan, which stood at 27,056 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cabayogan moving from 823 residents to 892 residents, an intercensal change of +8.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Cabayogan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Badiangan is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cabayogan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
