Barangay Guinawahan

Barangay Guinawahan is a very small barangay in the municipality of Badiangan, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Guinawahan had a population of 433. This made it the 28th largest of 31 barangays in Badiangan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Guinawahan accounted for approximately 1.60% of the total population of Badiangan, which stood at 27,056 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Guinawahan moving from 437 residents to 433 residents, an intercensal change of -0.9%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Guinawahan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Badiangan is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Guinawahan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
