Barangay Alay-Nangbabaan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Alay-Nangbabaan is one of the administrative divisions of Badoc in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Alay-Nangbabaan had a population of 1,090. This made it the 16th largest of 31 barangays in Badoc by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Alay-Nangbabaan accounted for approximately 3.35% of the total population of Badoc, which stood at 32,530 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,079 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,090 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +1.0%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Alay-Nangbabaan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Badoc is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Alay-Nangbabaan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
