Barangay Salingcomot

Situated in Baganga, Davao Oriental, Barangay Salingcomot is one of 18 barangays that make up the municipality within Davao Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Salingcomot had a population of 3,013. This made it the 10th largest of 18 barangays in Baganga by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Salingcomot accounted for approximately 5.13% of the total population of Baganga, which stood at 58,714 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,652 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,013 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +13.6%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Salingcomot is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
