Barangay J. Pallagao

Barangay J. Pallagao is a small barangay in the municipality of Baggao, located in the province of Cagayan, in the Cagayan Valley region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay J. Pallagao had a population of 891. This made it the 41st largest of 48 barangays in Baggao by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay J. Pallagao accounted for approximately 1.02% of the total population of Baggao, which stood at 87,753 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 879 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 891 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +1.4%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay J. Pallagao as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Baggao is a municipality comprising 48 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay J. Pallagao, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
