Barangay Gambang

Situated in Bakun, Benguet, Barangay Gambang is one of 7 barangays that make up the municipality within CAR.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Gambang had a population of 3,783. This made it the 1st largest of 7 barangays in Bakun by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Gambang accounted for approximately 26.03% of the total population of Bakun, which stood at 14,535 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Gambang moving from 4,367 residents to 3,783 residents, an intercensal change of -13.4%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Gambang as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
