Barangay Lahong Interior

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Lahong Interior is one of the administrative divisions of Baleno in Masbate, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Lahong Interior had a population of 495. This made it the 23rd largest of 24 barangays in Baleno by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lahong Interior accounted for approximately 1.72% of the total population of Baleno, which stood at 28,855 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 675 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 495 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -26.7%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Lahong Interior as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Baleno is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lahong Interior, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
