Barangay Malabanan

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Malabanan is one of the administrative divisions of Balete in Batangas, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Malabanan had a population of 5,049. This made it the 1st largest of 13 barangays in Balete by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Malabanan accounted for approximately 20.99% of the total population of Balete, which stood at 24,055 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Malabanan changed from 4,637 to 5,049, a shift of +8.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Balete. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Malabanan as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Balete is a municipality comprising 13 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Malabanan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
