Barangay Paligawan

Barangay Paligawan is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Balete, located in the province of Batangas, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Paligawan had a population of 2,032. This made it the 6th largest of 13 barangays in Balete by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Paligawan accounted for approximately 8.45% of the total population of Balete, which stood at 24,055 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Paligawan moving from 2,047 residents to 2,032 residents, an intercensal change of -0.7%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community.
