Barangay Sala

Barangay Sala is a small barangay in the municipality of Balete, located in the province of Batangas, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Sala had a population of 1,735. This made it the 7th largest of 13 barangays in Balete by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sala accounted for approximately 7.21% of the total population of Balete, which stood at 24,055 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sala moving from 1,753 residents to 1,735 residents, an intercensal change of -1.0%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. Barangay Sala is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
