Barangay Centro East (Pob.)

Situated in Ballesteros, Cagayan, Barangay Centro East (Pob.) is one of 19 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Centro East (Pob.) had a population of 4,174. This made it the 1st largest of 19 barangays in Ballesteros by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Centro East (Pob.) accounted for approximately 12.10% of the total population of Ballesteros, which stood at 34,488 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,960 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,174 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +5.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Centro East (Pob.) as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Ballesteros is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Centro East (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
