Barangay San Fernando

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay San Fernando is one of the administrative divisions of Bambang in Nueva Vizcaya, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Fernando had a population of 2,534. This made it the 9th largest of 25 barangays in Bambang by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Fernando accounted for approximately 4.54% of the total population of Bambang, which stood at 55,789 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Fernando changed from 2,395 to 2,534, a shift of +5.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Bambang. Barangay San Fernando is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bambang is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Fernando, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Nueva Vizcaya, which contains 275 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay San Fernando ranks 58th by 2020 population.
