Barangay Manayon

Situated in Bangui, Ilocos Norte, Barangay Manayon is one of 14 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Manayon had a population of 997. This made it the 6th largest of 14 barangays in Bangui by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Manayon accounted for approximately 6.64% of the total population of Bangui, which stood at 15,019 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Manayon moving from 1,092 residents to 997 residents, an intercensal change of -8.7%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Manayon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
