Barangay Poblacion

Situated in Bani, Pangasinan, Barangay Poblacion is one of 27 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 4,816. This made it the 1st largest of 27 barangays in Bani by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 9.16% of the total population of Bani, which stood at 52,603 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion moving from 5,011 residents to 4,816 residents, an intercensal change of -3.9%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
