Barangay Nasunogan

Situated in Banton, Romblon, Barangay Nasunogan is one of 17 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Nasunogan had a population of 286. This made it the 11th largest of 17 barangays in Banton by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Nasunogan accounted for approximately 4.99% of the total population of Banton, which stood at 5,737 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Nasunogan moving from 320 residents to 286 residents, an intercensal change of -10.6%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Nasunogan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
