Barangay Tig-Alaran

Barangay Tig-Alaran is a very small barangay in the municipality of Barbaza, located in the province of Antique, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tig-Alaran had a population of 145. This made it the 36th largest of 39 barangays in Barbaza by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tig-Alaran accounted for approximately 0.62% of the total population of Barbaza, which stood at 23,359 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tig-Alaran moving from 121 residents to 145 residents, an intercensal change of +19.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Tig-Alaran is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
