Barangay Cagay

Situated in Barili, Cebu, Barangay Cagay is one of 42 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cagay had a population of 1,893. This made it the 21st largest of 42 barangays in Barili by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cagay accounted for approximately 2.35% of the total population of Barili, which stood at 80,715 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cagay moving from 1,813 residents to 1,893 residents, an intercensal change of +4.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Cagay is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
