Barangay Poctoy

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Poctoy is one of the administrative divisions of Boac in Marinduque, MIMAROPA Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poctoy had a population of 386. This made it the 52nd largest of 61 barangays in Boac by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poctoy accounted for approximately 0.67% of the total population of Boac, which stood at 57,283 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poctoy moving from 333 residents to 386 residents, an intercensal change of +15.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poctoy as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
