Barangay Tabigue

Situated in Boac, Marinduque, Barangay Tabigue is one of 61 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tabigue had a population of 962. This made it the 27th largest of 61 barangays in Boac by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tabigue accounted for approximately 1.68% of the total population of Boac, which stood at 57,283 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tabigue changed from 876 to 962, a shift of +9.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Boac. Barangay Tabigue is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Boac is a municipality comprising 61 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tabigue, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Marinduque, which contains 218 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Tabigue ranks 106th by 2020 population.
