Barangay Bantug

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Bantug is one of the administrative divisions of Bongabon in Nueva Ecija, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bantug had a population of 877. This made it the 25th largest of 28 barangays in Bongabon by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bantug accounted for approximately 1.31% of the total population of Bongabon, which stood at 66,839 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bantug moving from 917 residents to 877 residents, an intercensal change of -4.4%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Bantug is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bongabon is a municipality comprising 28 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bantug, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
