Barangay Anapao

Situated in Burgos, Pangasinan, Barangay Anapao is one of 14 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Anapao had a population of 564. This made it the 14th largest of 14 barangays in Burgos by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Anapao accounted for approximately 2.37% of the total population of Burgos, which stood at 23,749 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Anapao moving from 476 residents to 564 residents, an intercensal change of +18.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Anapao as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
