Barangay Buenavista

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Buenavista is one of the administrative divisions of Calatrava in Negros Occidental, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Buenavista had a population of 2,121. This made it the 13th largest of 40 barangays in Calatrava by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Buenavista accounted for approximately 2.57% of the total population of Calatrava, which stood at 82,540 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Buenavista moving from 2,202 residents to 2,121 residents, an intercensal change of -3.7%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community.
