Barangay Boyo-an

Situated in Candijay, Bohol, Barangay Boyo-an is one of 21 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Boyo-an had a population of 1,428. This made it the 10th largest of 21 barangays in Candijay by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Boyo-an accounted for approximately 4.74% of the total population of Candijay, which stood at 30,119 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Boyo-an moving from 1,610 residents to 1,428 residents, an intercensal change of -11.3%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Boyo-an as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
