Barangay Lungsoda-an

Barangay Lungsoda-an is a small barangay in the municipality of Candijay, located in the province of Bohol, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lungsoda-an had a population of 1,542. This made it the 7th largest of 21 barangays in Candijay by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lungsoda-an accounted for approximately 5.12% of the total population of Candijay, which stood at 30,119 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lungsoda-an moving from 1,499 residents to 1,542 residents, an intercensal change of +2.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Lungsoda-an is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Candijay is a municipality comprising 21 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lungsoda-an, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
