Barangay Pandan

Situated in Castilla, Sorsogon, Barangay Pandan is one of 34 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Pandan had a population of 2,085. This made it the 8th largest of 34 barangays in Castilla by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pandan accounted for approximately 3.44% of the total population of Castilla, which stood at 60,635 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,875 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,085 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +11.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Pandan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Castilla is a municipality comprising 34 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pandan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
