Barangay Tuyom

Barangay Tuyom is a large barangay in the municipality of Cauayan, located in the province of Negros Occidental, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tuyom had a population of 6,845. This made it the 4th largest of 25 barangays in Cauayan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tuyom accounted for approximately 6.31% of the total population of Cauayan, which stood at 108,480 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tuyom moving from 6,525 residents to 6,845 residents, an intercensal change of +4.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Tuyom is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
