Barangay Luna

Situated in City of Cadiz, Negros Occidental, Barangay Luna is one of 22 barangays that make up the city within Western Visayas.

This made it the 3rd largest of 22 barangays in City of Cadiz by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Luna accounted for approximately 6.89% of the total population of City of Cadiz, which stood at 158,544 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Luna moving from 11,410 residents to 10,926 residents, an intercensal change of -4.2%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Luna is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Cadiz is a city comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Luna, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
