Barangay Helino

Situated in City of Calbayog, Samar, Barangay Helino is one of 157 barangays that make up the city within Eastern Visayas.

This made it the 117th largest of 157 barangays in City of Calbayog by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Helino accounted for approximately 0.20% of the total population of City of Calbayog, which stood at 186,960 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 396 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 380 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -4.0%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Helino as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
