Barangay Langoyon

Barangay Langoyon is a very small barangay in the city of City of Calbayog, located in the province of Samar, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Langoyon had a population of 215. This made it the 142nd largest of 157 barangays in City of Calbayog by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Langoyon accounted for approximately 0.11% of the total population of City of Calbayog, which stood at 186,960 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Langoyon moving from 227 residents to 215 residents, an intercensal change of -5.3%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Langoyon as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Calbayog is a city comprising 157 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Langoyon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
