Barangay Sinantan

Barangay Sinantan forms part of City of Calbayog, a city in Samar, and is classified as a very small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sinantan had a population of 248. This made it the 138th largest of 157 barangays in City of Calbayog by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Sinantan accounted for approximately 0.13% of the total population of City of Calbayog, which stood at 186,960 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sinantan moving from 242 residents to 248 residents, an intercensal change of +2.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sinantan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Calbayog is a city comprising 157 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sinantan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
