Barangay Salapingao

Barangay Salapingao forms part of City of Dagupan, a city in Pangasinan, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Salapingao had a population of 2,954. This made it the 19th largest of 31 barangays in City of Dagupan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Salapingao changed from 2,996 to 2,954, a shift of -1.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with broadly stable populations in City of Dagupan. Barangay Salapingao is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Dagupan is a city comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Salapingao, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
