Barangay Dawo (Pob.)

Situated in City of Dapitan, Zamboanga Del Norte, Barangay Dawo (Pob.) is one of 50 barangays that make up the city within Zamboanga Peninsula.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Dawo (Pob.) had a population of 2,522. This made it the 10th largest of 50 barangays in City of Dapitan by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Dawo (Pob.) accounted for approximately 2.96% of the total population of City of Dapitan, which stood at 85,202 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,655 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,522 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -5.0%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Dawo (Pob.) is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
