Barangay Masidlakon

Barangay Masidlakon is a small barangay in the City of Dapitan, located in the province of Zamboanga Del Norte, in the Zamboanga Peninsula region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Masidlakon had a population of 1,423. This made it the 30th largest of 50 barangays in City of Dapitan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Masidlakon accounted for approximately 1.67% of the total population of City of Dapitan, which stood at 85,202 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Masidlakon moving from 1,198 residents to 1,423 residents, an intercensal change of +18.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Masidlakon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Dapitan is a city comprising 50 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Masidlakon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
