Barangay Matagobtob Pob. is a mid-sized barangay in the City of Dapitan, located in the province of Zamboanga Del Norte, in the Zamboanga Peninsula region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Matagobtob Pob. had a population of 3,245. This made it the 4th largest of 50 barangays in City of Dapitan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Matagobtob Pob. accounted for approximately 3.81% of the total population of City of Dapitan, which stood at 85,202 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,084 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,245 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +5.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Matagobtob Pob. is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Dapitan is a city comprising 50 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Matagobtob Pob., including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
