Barangay Imelda

Barangay Imelda forms part of City of Guihulngan, a city in Negros Oriental, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Imelda had a population of 1,392. This made it the 31st largest of 33 barangays in City of Guihulngan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Imelda changed from 1,240 to 1,392, a shift of +12.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Guihulngan. Barangay Imelda is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Guihulngan is a city comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Imelda, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
