Barangay Bagong Silang

Barangay Bagong Silang is a small barangay in the city of City of Imus, located in the province of Cavite, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bagong Silang had a population of 788. This made it the 90th largest of 97 barangays in City of Imus by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Bagong Silang accounted for approximately 0.16% of the total population of City of Imus, which stood at 496,794 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 960 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 788 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -17.9%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bagong Silang as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Imus is a city comprising 97 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bagong Silang, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cavite, which contains 829 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Bagong Silang ranks 746th by 2020 population.
