Barangay San Jose

Barangay San Jose is a large barangay in the City of Koronadal, located in the province of South Cotabato, in the SOCCSKSARGEN region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Jose had a population of 8,750. This made it the 8th largest of 27 barangays in City of Koronadal by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay San Jose accounted for approximately 4.48% of the total population of City of Koronadal, which stood at 195,398 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Jose changed from 7,410 to 8,750, a shift of +18.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Koronadal. Barangay San Jose is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Koronadal is a city comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Jose, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of South Cotabato, which contains 225 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay San Jose ranks 22nd by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
