Barangay Amtic

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Amtic is one of the administrative divisions of City of Ligao in Albay, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Amtic had a population of 2,039. This made it the 24th largest of 55 barangays in City of Ligao by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Amtic accounted for approximately 1.73% of the total population of City of Ligao, which stood at 118,096 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Amtic moving from 1,930 residents to 2,039 residents, an intercensal change of +5.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Amtic as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
