Barangay Batang

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Batang is one of the administrative divisions of City of Ligao in Albay, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Batang had a population of 3,693. This made it the 6th largest of 55 barangays in City of Ligao by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Batang accounted for approximately 3.13% of the total population of City of Ligao, which stood at 118,096 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Batang moving from 3,672 residents to 3,693 residents, an intercensal change of +0.6%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Batang as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
