Barangay Guilid

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Guilid is one of the administrative divisions of City of Ligao in Albay, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Guilid had a population of 3,663. This made it the 7th largest of 55 barangays in City of Ligao by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Guilid accounted for approximately 3.10% of the total population of City of Ligao, which stood at 118,096 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,848 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,663 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -4.8%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Guilid is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Ligao is a city comprising 55 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Guilid, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Albay, which contains 720 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Guilid ranks 83rd by 2020 population. Albay is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
