Barangay Nabonton

Barangay Nabonton forms part of City of Ligao, a city in Albay, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Nabonton had a population of 2,848. This made it the 14th largest of 55 barangays in City of Ligao by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Nabonton accounted for approximately 2.41% of the total population of City of Ligao, which stood at 118,096 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,203 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,848 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +29.3%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Nabonton is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Ligao is a city comprising 55 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Nabonton, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
