Barangay Ranao-ranao

Barangay Ranao-ranao is a small barangay in the city of City of Ligao, located in the province of Albay, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Ranao-ranao had a population of 1,751. This made it the 30th largest of 55 barangays in City of Ligao by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Ranao-ranao accounted for approximately 1.48% of the total population of City of Ligao, which stood at 118,096 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Ranao-ranao moving from 1,773 residents to 1,751 residents, an intercensal change of -1.2%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Ranao-ranao as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
