Barangay Canturing

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Canturing is one of the administrative divisions of City of Maasin in Southern Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Canturing had a population of 1,138. This made it the 26th largest of 70 barangays in City of Maasin by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Canturing accounted for approximately 1.30% of the total population of City of Maasin, which stood at 87,446 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Canturing changed from 1,120 to 1,138, a shift of +1.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in City of Maasin. Barangay Canturing is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Maasin is a city comprising 70 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Canturing, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
