Barangay Hinapu Daku

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Hinapu Daku is one of the administrative divisions of City of Maasin in Southern Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Hinapu Daku had a population of 942. This made it the 34th largest of 70 barangays in City of Maasin by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Hinapu Daku accounted for approximately 1.08% of the total population of City of Maasin, which stood at 87,446 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Hinapu Daku changed from 930 to 942, a shift of +1.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in City of Maasin. Barangay Hinapu Daku is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Maasin is a city comprising 70 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Hinapu Daku, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
