Barangay Malapoc Norte

Barangay Malapoc Norte forms part of City of Maasin, a city in Southern Leyte, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Malapoc Norte had a population of 927. This made it the 36th largest of 70 barangays in City of Maasin by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Malapoc Norte accounted for approximately 1.06% of the total population of City of Maasin, which stood at 87,446 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Malapoc Norte moving from 905 residents to 927 residents, an intercensal change of +2.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Malapoc Norte as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
