Barangay Lawigan

Barangay Lawigan is a mid-sized barangay in the City of Mati, located in the province of Davao Oriental, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lawigan had a population of 3,202. This made it the 15th largest of 26 barangays in City of Mati by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Lawigan accounted for approximately 2.17% of the total population of City of Mati, which stood at 147,547 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lawigan moving from 2,994 residents to 3,202 residents, an intercensal change of +6.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
