Barangay Bagong Buhay

Barangay Bagong Buhay is a small barangay in the City of Palayan, located in the province of Nueva Ecija, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bagong Buhay had a population of 697. This made it the 19th largest of 19 barangays in City of Palayan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Bagong Buhay accounted for approximately 1.54% of the total population of City of Palayan, which stood at 45,383 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Bagong Buhay changed from 963 to 697, a shift of -27.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in City of Palayan. Barangay Bagong Buhay is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Palayan is a city comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bagong Buhay, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Nueva Ecija, which contains 849 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Bagong Buhay ranks 791st by 2020 population.
