Barangay Langka

Situated in City of Palayan, Nueva Ecija, Barangay Langka is one of 19 barangays that make up the city within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Langka had a population of 1,349. This made it the 14th largest of 19 barangays in City of Palayan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Langka accounted for approximately 2.97% of the total population of City of Palayan, which stood at 45,383 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Langka changed from 1,302 to 1,349, a shift of +3.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Palayan. Barangay Langka is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Palayan is a city comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Langka, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
