Barangay Doña Josefa

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Doña Josefa is one of the administrative divisions of City of Palayan in Nueva Ecija, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Doña Josefa had a population of 2,024. This made it the 11th largest of 19 barangays in City of Palayan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Doña Josefa accounted for approximately 4.46% of the total population of City of Palayan, which stood at 45,383 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Doña Josefa changed from 2,229 to 2,024, a shift of -9.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in City of Palayan. Barangay Doña Josefa is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Palayan is a city comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Doña Josefa, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
